Corene Morrison

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Corene L. Morrison, 88, of Perryville died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 7, 1914, at Kelso, Mo., daughter of Solomon and Sophia Blattel Heisserer. She and LeRoy Francis Morrison were married April 28, 1938. He died Jan. 6, 1997.

Morrison retired from International Shoe Co., and had worked at Hoeckele's Bakery. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and VFW Post 4282 Auxiliary.

Survivors include four sisters, Olivia Ostendorf, Marie Ostendorf and Edna Job, all of Cape Girardeau, and Melva Kalkbrenner of Beaumont, Texas.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 7 to 11 a.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
