JACKSON -- Corena L. Seyer, 89, of Jackson died Sunday, April 26, 1998, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Sept. 19, 1908, at Oran, daughter of Charles and Ottilia LeGrand Schott. She and Otto Lawrence Seyer were married Nov. 22, 1927, at Oran. He died Feb. 24, 1984.
Seyer was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Ann's Sodality.
Survivors include four sons, Eugene Seyer of New Hamburg, Cornelius, Charles and Jerome Seyer, all of Cape Girardeau; eight daughters, Mary Terry of Jackson, Virginia Ross of Benton, LaWanda Turnbaugh of Holland, Ohio, Janet Jarrell, Dorothy Seyer and Linda Hurt, all of Cape Girardeau, Jane Spurlock of Fenton, Nancy Amelunke of Columbia.
Also surviving are four sisters, Alma Carter of Sikeston, Sister Alvina Schott of Ruma, Ill., Sister Ann Catherine Schott of Florissant, Mary Thomas of Jerseyville, Ill.; 52 grandchildren; and 65 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., and KC rosary at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Randolph Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
