CORENA HENCY

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Corena C. Hency, 74, formerly of Chaffee, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 15, 1925, at New Hamburg, Mo., daughter of Zeno Nicholas and Dena Katherine Schlitt Dannenmueller. She and Elmer "Bud" Hency Jr. were married Feb. 4, 1961. He died July 8, 1983.

Hency had worked at the former International Hat Co. in Oran, Mo. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Daughters of St. Ambrose.

Survivors include a son, Michael Myers of St. Louis; two daughters, Patricia Ruesler of Jackson, Mo., Mary Morrow of Benton, Mo.; two brothers, Linus Dannenmueller of Chaffee, Ernest "Nick" Dannenmueller of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a sister, Myrtle Golightly of Mary Esther, Fla.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
