Cordia Elda Stueve Nebel, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Altenburg, Mo, daughter of Ernst August and Ida Emilie Weber Stueve. She and Fred R. Nebel were married Nov. 21, 1943, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

She worked at Best Western Motel and International Shoe Co. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include her husband, Fred R. Nebel of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Sharon Ann King of Overland, Mo., Vicki Sue Rolf and husband Charles of St. Louis; a son, Steve Nebel and wife Connie of Cape Girardeau; a sister-in-law, Irene Stueve Schultz of Joplin, Mo.; a grandson, Michael King; and a great-grandchild, Madison King.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, two brothers and a sister.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m., and at Trinity Lutheran Church Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund, or to Lutheran Home Hospice.
