JACKSON -- Cora P. Kasten, 81, of Jackson, died Friday, July 26, 1991, at Jackson Manor, where she lived the past three years.
She was born Nov. 25, 1909, at Burfordville, daughter of Herman and Mollie Siebert Sperling. On March 26, 1935, she married Fred Kasten. He preceded her in death May 22, 1990.
She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson and its Friendship Circle and Women's Fellowship. She also was a member of the Community Senior Citizens and had worked for many years at Schade's Cafe in Jackson.
Survivors include a son, Clinton Kasten of Maryland Heights; a daughter, Mary Sue Mansker of Jackson; three sisters, Olga Kasten of Cape Girardeau, Selma Sperling of Jackson, Elda Kasten of Jackson, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Samuel Roethe-meyer will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
