CHAFFEE -- Cora Nordin, 76, of Route 1, Chaffee, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born in Kelso, July 27, 1916, daughter of Adam and Rofina Schlosser Schaefer.
She was retired from the housekeeping department at Thorngate Ltd.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, and Chaffee Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3127.
She was married to Peter Seyer on May 8, 1943. He preceded her in death June 15, 1966. She then married Theodore Spradling on Dec. 1, 1973. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1979. She then married Henry Nordin on Dec. 28, 1986. He survives.
Other survivors include four sons, A. J. Seyer, Route 2, Jackson, Michael E. Seyer of Lilbourn, Thomas W. Seyer of Chaffee; Richard E. Seyer of Columbia; three daughters, Anna Wicker of Chaffee, Theresa Cochran of Scott City, and Della Hopke of Council Grove, Kan.; one sister, Zita Hess of Kelso; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 3 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
