SIKESTON, Mo. -- Cora Bell Masters, 95, of Sikeston died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 10, 1907, in Princeton, Ky., daughter of William and Sarah Couch Harbison. She and Everett Masters were married Sept. 6, 1926, in Sikeston. He died Nov. 21, 1977.
Masters worked 20 years at Sikeston Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and also worked at El Capri Restaurant and the Rustic Rock Inn. She attended Smith Avenue Church of God.
Survivors include four sons, Everett Masters of Marble Hill, Mo., Norman "Babe" Masters of Modesto, Calif., Lonnie Masters of Sikeston, Frank Masters of Stanford, Va.; three daughters, Corene "Sissy" Harnish of Decatur, Ill., Barbara Legate of Granite City, Ill., Carolyn Hunt of Blytheville, Ark.; 39 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers, four sisters, and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Avenue Church of God, with the Rev. Ira Sandefer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
