CORINTH, Miss. -- Connie L. Moore, 81, died in Corinth on Feb. 10, 2010, from ovarian cancer.

Born Nov. 19, 1928, in Orient, S.D., to Ed and Connie Johnson, Connie attended Commerce and Benton schools in Missouri and graduated from Benton High School in 1946.

On June 23, 1946, she married Dean Moore. For the majority of their lives together, Dean and Connie lived in Adrian, Mo., working together in the farming and trucking industries. Connie retired as a Teamster but never retired as a farm wife and friend.

Connie was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at Adrian First Baptist Church. Connie will be especially remembered as a loving wife and devoted mother who enjoyed cooking, quilting, teaching and gardening. Connie was extremely active in many community benevolent activities and organizations too numerous to mention. Dean and Connie sold their Adrian farm and moved to Rienzi, Miss., in 2009 to be close to family.
