Connie DeCourley

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Connie Mack DeCourley, 59, of Poplar Bluff died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Tunica, Miss.

He was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Cooter, Mo., son of James Claude and Maggie M. Patterson DeCourley. He and Joan Burress were married June 4, 1983, in Poplar Bluff.

He was manager of train operations practices with Union Pacific Railroad.

DeCourley was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was a 32nd Degree member of Masonic Lodge 209 in Poplar Bluff.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Stacey DeCourley of Shiloh, Ill., James DeCourley of Cape Girardeau, Jason Morgan of Poplar Bluff, Christopher Massey of Wardell, Mo.; three sisters, Carrie Semmes of Memphis, Tenn., Velma Craine of Cape Girardeau, Ollie Rice of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Lloyd and Howard DeCourley of Fisk; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel, with the Rev. John Dunnivan officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele, Mo.
