ANNA, Ill. -- Collin W. Lingle, 76, of Anna, died Friday, Jan. 10, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Jan. 27, 1915, at Anna, son of Gerald and Meffie Davis Lingle. He and Betty Lightner were married March 22, 1940.
Lingle was a member of First United Methodist Church in Anna, and Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Taylor of Anna; a sister, Vera Horner of Anna; a brother, Gerald Lingle of Denver, Colo., and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Chapel here, with the Rev. Al Slayter officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3455.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of service.
