JONESBORO, Ill. -- Collin Brimm, 78, of Oxford, Ark., formerly of Jonesboro, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, in Oxford.
He was born Nov. 2, 1925, in Union County, son of Oziah Dee and Nettie White Brimm. He first married Florence Hubbs. He later married Wanda Lee Morgan Feb. 14, 1997, in Oxford.
Brimm was a highway construction laborer many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna, Ill., and Jones-Lewis VFW Post in Melbourne, Ark.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Don and Ron Brimm of Anna, William Brimm of Elgin, Ill.; a daughter, Linda Long of Tamms, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Hill of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two sisters, Lucille Baldwin of Murphysboro, Ill., Helen Stoner of Anna; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 11 great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a stepson, six brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
