Mrs. Colleen Dorothy Lee Reynolds, 76, of Winston-Salem, N.C., formerly of Hoffman Estates, Ill., passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, to Harry Roscoe and Margaret Hudson Lee. She was a loving wife and terrific mother...

Mrs. Colleen Dorothy Lee Reynolds, 76, of Winston-Salem, N.C., formerly of Hoffman Estates, Ill., passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, to Harry Roscoe and Margaret Hudson Lee. She was a loving wife and terrific mother.

Mrs. Reynolds was a founding member of St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Hoffman Estates. She was president of the Council of Catholic Women and active in religious education. She was also a member of the Archdiocese of Chicago Liturgical Commission and an active volunteer in many other church and community activities.

She was a longtime bookkeeper for School District 54 in Schaumburg, Ill. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Winston-Salem.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Lee.

Surviving is her husband, John A. Reynolds of Winston-Salem; five children, David Reynolds and wife Mary of Lexington, Mass., Kathleen Fiala and husband Victor, Michael Reynolds, Robert Reynolds and wife Mary Karen, all of Chicago, John Reynolds and wife Kathryn of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Dumas and husband Doyle of Greenville, Tenn.

A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Kessler officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church following the Mass.

A memorial service will be arranged at St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Hoffman Estates at a later date.

Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Winston-Salem is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association.
