Colleen Chessor

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Virginia Colleen Chessor, 81, of Sikeston died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 8, 1923, in New Madrid, Mo., daughter of Fred and Nina Ann Robinson Eiceman. She and Bill Chessor were married Oct. 21, 1939, in New Madrid, Mo. He died June 5, 1994.

Chessor was a member of Tanner Street Church of God, and active in the foster grandparents program with Sikeston School District.

Survivors include two sons, Billy and Barry Chessor of Sikeston; four daughters, Bonnie Heckert of Bertrand, Mo., Barbara Porter of Anderson, Ind., Beverly Russell of Ardmore, Okla., Belinda Greenlee of Hannibal, Mo.; two brothers, Herman Eiceman of Portageville, Mo., Dale Eiceman of Arnold, Mo.; a sister, Peggy Schacht of St. Louis; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, two brothers and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel Monday from 11 a.m. to service time.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Carl Addison officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
