Ira Clyde Wadlow, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Aug. 30, 1941, in Glover, Mo., to Ira and Georgia A. Bone Wadlow. He and Shirley Ann Nabe were married Jan. 1, 1971, in Cape Girardeau. She died Sept. 2, 2007.
Wadlow was a pipe fitter working in construction. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 574 and Craftsman Independent Union Local 1.
His hobbies include hunting, fishing and camping. His most recent passions were spending time with granddaughters Maeson and Tali.
Survivors include two daughters, Stacey Dawn Renshaw of Cape Girardeau, Misty Kennedy of Farmington, Mo.; a son, Brandon Clyde Wadlow of Cape Girardeau; seven sisters, Ruby Nash of Ironton, Mo., Barbara Browers of Arcadia, Mo., Kay Thomure, Tarrie Myers and Joanie Blevins of Ironton, Jean Barton of Arcadia, Vickie Harper of Ironton; two brothers, Ron Wadlow of Ironton, Tim Wadlow of Farmington; and granddaughters Maeson Clara and Tali Sharlyn Renshaw of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons Gregory and Craig Wadlow; and brothers Russell and Jerry Wadlow.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mark Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
