Clyde Warren Huff, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his home. He was born Aug. 22, 1923, in Doe Run, Mo., to Irvin and Blanch Huff. Clyde Warren Huff, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his home.

He was born Aug. 22, 1923, in Doe Run, Mo., to Irvin and Blanch Huff.

Clyde served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II in New Guinea, the Philippines, Okinawa and Japan. He was awarded five major campaign Bronze Stars, Unit Citations and Air Crew Wings.

After the war, he moved to Cape Girardeau and was in the contracting business 13 years with his dad and brothers. He was proprietor of Cape Bowling Lanes 25 years. He served as president of SEMO District Bowling Proprietors Association 10 years and two terms on the BPAA National Board of Directors.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Fulton; a grandchild, Kara Fulton; a great-grandchild, Jacob Ikerman; and a special friend, Betty Boyers, all of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Clyde "Dub" Huff Jr. and Mark Huff; a daughter, Judy Huff; and two brothers, Harold and Lynn Huff.

Friends may call from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Military graveside rites will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lorimier Cemetery, with Missouri Honor Guard and VFW Post 3838 officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to VFW Post 3838, 1049 N. Kingshighway, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
