Clyde William Holman, 88, of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Jonesboro Nursing and Rehab in Jonesboro, Illinois.
He was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Marlin and Mabel Lang Holman. He and Donna Sharon Wilburn were married Nov. 22, 2007, at Wickliffe, Kentucky.
Clyde graduated from Murphysboro High School. He served in the Merchant Marines. He was a heavy-equipment operator and worked out of Local 513 operators union.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Holman of East Cape Girardeau; a son, Lyle Holman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a stepson, Fred Burton of Metropolis, Illinois; four stepdaughters, Glena (Ray) Brown of Ullin, Illinois, Ellen LaBruzza of Hammond, Louisiana, Sharon (Eddie) Stuard of Cross Plains, Tennessee, and Rhonda (Michael) Curtis of Tamms, Illinois; a sister, Betty Souba of Cape Girardeau; and two nieces, Donna Jo Masterson of Cape Girardeau and Penny Farbanvena of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter; two sisters, Joann and Marina; and a brother, Charlie.
