MARBLE HILL -- Clyde F. Willis, 80, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, July 27, 1995, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1914, at West Frankfort, Ill., son of John M. and Lula Pyles Willis.
Willis was author of the "Country Lane" column that ran in several area newspapers, and also authored a book by the same title. He was a charter member of Bollinger County Historical Society.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Gary Willis of St. Charles; a sister, Velma Francis of Morrison, Ill.; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bobby Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery.
