MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Clyde Wesley Conley, 68, of Matthews, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Luxora, Ark., son of Merritt and Nell James Conley. He and Mary Bourland were married Feb. 27, 1960, in Luxora.
Mr. Conley worked for Noranda Aluminum and was a member of the Church of Christ in Matthews. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
He was secretary-treasurer of the Steel Workers of America Retirees and was a member of the American Legion Post 114 in Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Conley of Grandview, Mo.; a brother, Jim Conley of Porterville, Calif.; and three sisters, Clara Brown of Apache Junction, Ariz., Ora Britt and Sue Stewart, both of Porterville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Graveside service will be Friday morning at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
