PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Clyde E. "Gravy" Cassoutt, 89, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at the Perry County Nursing Home. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Clyde E. "Gravy" Cassoutt, 89, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

Born July 21, 1912, in Rockwood, Ill., he was the son of Lucien and Margaret Booker Cassoutt.

On March 29, 1939, he was married to Rose Ann Seifert. She died Dec. 29, 1953.

Survivors include two sons, Darrell L. and Clyde J. Cassoutt of St. Mary, Mo.; three daughters, Shirley Hotop and Fayetta Brown of Perryville, Paulette Gross of Chester, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m., today or 6:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating.

Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
