Clinton Martin Wunderlich, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 14, 1930, in St. Louis to Herbert Martin and Esther Emilie Mangels Wunderlich.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 63.

Clinton was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was the former Cape Girardeau County treasurer from 1961 to 1968. He was owner and operator of Wunderlich Real Estate Co. in Cape Girardeau until he retired in 2008.

He was a member of the Cape Girardeau Multiple Listing Service since 1974 and a member of the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors.

He and Doris D. Hilger were married May 5, 1973, at Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, a former member of the Cape Girardeau Junior Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Elks Lodge and the Republican Party. He also was president of the German Culture Society.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Wunderlich of Cape Girardeau; son, Bradley Lee (Andrea) Wunderlich of Columbia, South Carolina; stepson, Ralf (Pascale) Mathiesen of Berlin; sister, Betty Radmer of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Aydan Wunderlich, Alexa Wunderlich and Christophe Mathiesen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors by the Missouri Honor Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Altenburg Museum for Genealogy.
