MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Clinton L. Massa, 83, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Collinsville, Illinois, to Elmer Joseph and Alma Goodwin Massa. He and Marie Estes were married Dec. 20, 1952. She passed away June 21, 2008. He later married Regina Gremar.
Clinton served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he was the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
He was an ordained minister more than 55 years. He pastored at McGee Chapel 35 years, White Hollow General Baptist Church three years, and Ozark Tabernacle two years.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, David (Terry) Massa, Clint (Debbie) Massa, Kenny (Angie) Massa, Eddie (Teresa) Massa, all of Marble Hill; a daughter, Millie (Bob) Koeppel of Millersville; four stepchildren, Steven McCulley of Fruitland, Joe McCulley of Marble Hill, Penny Simmons and Peggy Chronister of Alton, Missouri; 21 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; three brothers, two sisters, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Elijah Bennett, Rick Knotts, Jim Massa and Wain Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glenallen, Missouri, with full military honors provided by Missouri Honors Team.
