ADVANCE, Mo. -- Clifford Warren, 85, of Bell City, Mo., died Friday, March 7, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Stoddard County, Mo., son of William and Mattie Scism Warren. He and Yvonne Wright were married Feb. 16, 1943, at Mount Vernon, Mo. She died Dec. 2, 1992. He and Bernice Bollinger Dunn were married in August 1993...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Clifford Warren, 85, of Bell City, Mo., died Friday, March 7, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Stoddard County, Mo., son of William and Mattie Scism Warren.

He and Yvonne Wright were married Feb. 16, 1943, at Mount Vernon, Mo. She died Dec. 2, 1992. He and Bernice Bollinger Dunn were married in August 1993.

Warren was a retired rural mail carrier for 32 years. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Bell City. Warren was a member and past master of Lakeville Masonic Lodge 489. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Teresa Steiner of Bell City; three sisters, Gladys DeJournett, Bessie Edmonds and Margaret Woodfin, all of Advance, Mo., and two granddaughters.

Warren was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Linda Zych officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
