ORAN, Mo. -- Clifford J. Mattox, 76, of Oran died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Kentucky, son of John and Anna Potts Mattox. He and Rosetta Fergunson were married in 1950.
Mattox was retired from the railroad.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Mattox of Florence, Ariz.; six daughters, Gloria Couch and Barbara Skaggs of Chaffee, Mo., Linda Dittus of Glendale, Ariz., Edna Mattox and Sally Martinez of Phoenix, Ariz., Bertha Munger of Mesa, Ariz.; three brothers, Henry Mattox of Texas, Johnny and Tommy Mattox of Chesapeake, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
