Clifford M. Heaps, 87, of Pevely and a native of Perry County, died Friday, Nov. 14, 1997.
He was born March 9, 1910, in Perry County to James and Carrie Coffey Heaps.
He married Lena B. Wade in September 1966. He was a member of Whitewater Christian Church and the Merchant Marines.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Pat Heaps of Perryville and Michael Heaps of Pevely; two daughters, Charlotte Jones of Okeechobee, Fla., and Pam Dillo of Barnhart; a stepson, Bob Christopher of Barstow, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Becky Voyles of Connecticut; two sisters, Lottie Nations of St. Louis and Lilia Pittman of Phoenix, Ariz; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today and from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Whitewater Christian Church, with the Rev. Bradley Smith officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
