SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Clifford Harold Bonenberger of Scott City will be held at 10 a.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial at 2 p.m. in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
Bonenberger, 82 years old, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 1991, at Bond Nursing Care Center in Lutesville.
He was born March 6, 1908, in St. Louis, son of Charles and Minnie Cintel Bonenberger. He and the former Dorothy Steimke were married Aug. 23, 1928. She died Nov. 17, 1988.
Bonenberger was a retired shop steward at Lincoln Engineer in St. Louis, and served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Bonenberger of St. Louis, Robert Bonenberger of Idaho Falls, Idaho; four daughters, Lorraine Bagwell of Jackson, Betty Rodgers and Ruth Mueller of St. Louis, Barbara Vigon of Bemidji, Minn.; two sisters, Dorothy Wayland and Ruth Chatlovsky of St. Louis; 27 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
