SCOTT CITY -- Clifford Benjamin Foulk, 83, of Scott City died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. SCOTT CITY -- Clifford Benjamin Foulk, 83, of Scott City died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 23, 1916, in Benton, Ill., son of Thomas Monroe and Mary Elizabeth Henson Foulk. He and Laura "Bernece" Lipe were married Oct. 5, 1936, at Benton.

Foulk was a trackman with Cotton Belt Railroad 30 years, retiring July 2, 1979. He attended New Life Gospel Center.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Charles Foulk of Rockview, Dean Foulk of Chaffee, Don Foulk of Scott City; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister, and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
