POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Cleveland I. "Bud" Henson, 90, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Cedar Gate Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Dec. 26, 1921, in Hornersville, Mo., to Cleveland and Maggie Norris Henson. He and Erma Branum were married Sept. 2, 1939, at Hornersville.
He had been a member Cape Bible Chapel. Cleveland had been a pharmaceutical representative for S.E. Massingill more than 25 years. He then worked and retired from Procter & Gamble. He was a 32nd degree Mason at the Harold O. Grauel Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Erna Marie Henson of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Dennis (Leslie) Henson of Clarksville, Tenn., and Kent Henson of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren, Denny Henson of St. Louis, Rick (Yumi) Henson of Round Rock, Texas, and Betsy (Curt) Buchheit of Cape Girardeau; and six great-grandchildren, Claire Henson, Lina Henson, Jay Henson, Allison Buchheit, Sydney Buchheit and Kate Buchheit.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Van Henson; and four sisters, Lillie Henson, Maudie Finney, Ruby Gay Goff and Illda Farmer.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
