ANNA, Ill. -- Cletus Milford Oliver, 86, of Anna died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Union County Nursing Home.
He was born March 12, 1919, in Karnak, Ill., son of Alvin and Bertha Davidson Oliver. He and Nina L. Hannah were married Feb. 1, 1945, in Vienna, Ill.
Oliver retired from Anna Quarry where he was a loader many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion and Operating Engineers Local 318.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, William Oliver of Waynesboro, Va., Cletus Oliver Jr. of Anna, Alvin Oliver of Quincy, Ind., George Oliver of Alto Pass, Ill.; a daughter, Laura Wetherford of Clinton, Ky.; a brother, Herschel Oliver of Cypress, Ill.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 11 a.m. until time of service today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery with full military honors by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
