Cleo J. Jones, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services.
He was born Oct. 18,1914, at Whitewater, son of Monroe and Mary Proffer Jones. He married Hazel Wright, who preceded him in death.
Jones was a tree trimmer.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Jones; five sisters, Hazel Bishop and Larnie Jones of St. Louis, Ruby Diaz of California, Jeanette Hamilton of Texas, Ruth Rhodes of Cape Girardeau; and a brother, George Jones of Los Angeles, Calif.
He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and 10 sisters.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Roy Quinn officiating.
