BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Cleo M. Cooper, 83, of Bloomfield died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Stoddard County, to Albert M. and Ada George Bornemann. She and Floyd V. Cooper were married Sept. 1, 1939, at Bloomfield. He died March 1, 1990.
She was retired from Inland Shoe Factory and the Stoddard County Board of Elections. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church near Bloomfield.
Survivors include a son, Edsel Cooper of Bloomfield; three daughters, Carolyn Kinder of Cape Girardeau, Charlene Viets of Henderson, Ky., and Laverta Stanford of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Cossairt of Paducah, Ky., and Loralee Eaker of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel with the Rev. Gary Cooper, a nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Church Cemetery.
