CLEMAN QUADE

BURFORDVILLE -- Cleman John "J" Quade, 77, of Burfordville died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 8, 1920, at Jackson, son of John W. and Lera M. Kinder Quade. He and Anna Lee Schweer were married Aug. 24, 1945, at Jackson.

Quade attended Jackson High School and then entered the CCC Program. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post at Jackson, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Quade II and Cleman Quade Jr. of Jackson; two daughters, Susan Dry of Jackson, Laura Pinkerton of Garland, Texas; a brother, Linus Quade of Burfordville; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Patrick Tankersley officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
