SIKESTON -- Cledis W. Carrington, 79, of Sikeston, died Monday, March 16, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born April 27, 1912, in Palmersville, Tenn., son of John R. and Winnie Moore Carrington.

He had been a janitor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Survivors include a son, Gary Carrington of St. Charles; two brothers, Hubert Carrington of Morehouse, Loyd Carrington of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Louise Orban of Crystal River, Fla.; two grandsons, and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Dolan Rodgers and J.D. McClard will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m.
