JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mrs. Claudia J. Dunn, 55, of Jonesboro passed away at 9:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Nov. 5, 1953, in Anna, Ill., daughter of Willie and Glenda Lingle Arnold. She and Lloyd R. "Red" Dunn were married on March 5, 1971, in Cape Girardeau...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mrs. Claudia J. Dunn, 55, of Jonesboro passed away at 9:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 5, 1953, in Anna, Ill., daughter of Willie and Glenda Lingle Arnold. She and Lloyd R. "Red" Dunn were married on March 5, 1971, in Cape Girardeau.

Dunn was a graduate of Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Ill., and attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Ill. She was retired from Tri-County Education Center in Anna.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Dunn of Jonesboro; her mother and father, Glenda and Cecil Franklin of Jonesboro; a brother, Rusty (Marilyn) Arnold of Jonesboro; a niece, Kim (Scott) Swain and their son Cole of Jonesboro; a stepbrother, Maury Lee (Esther) Franklin of Mounds, Ill.; a stepsister, Sherry (Rick) Ellet of Carterville, Ill.; other relatives; and many friends.

Dunn was preceded in death by her daughter, Carmen, who passed away Dec. 16, 1992; and maternal grandparents, Claude and Bertha Lingle.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral services for Mrs. Claudia J. Dunn will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating.

Interment will be in Anna City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation or Union County Relay for Life. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
