BERTRAND -- Claude A. Myracle, 75, of Bertrand died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Decaturville, Tenn., son of William D. and Mary Z. Butler Myracle. He and Voneita Phillips were married June 13, 1946.
Myracle lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He owned and operated Ronnie's Trading Post in Wyatt, retiring in 1980.
He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and Eagles Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronnie Myracle of Valdosta, Ga.; Three daughters, Claudeen Russell of Greenville, Miss., Sondra Jones of Charleston, Doneita Myracle-Hoffman of St. Louis; four brothers, Glen Myracle of Milan, Tenn., Joe Myracle of Southaven, Miss., Gene Myracle of Huntsville, Ala., Jerry Myracle of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Sue Deloach of Buford, S.C., Helen Boon and Shirley Myracle of Germantown, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Myracle officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
