Claude E. "Pete" Morse, 66, 1249 Marilyn, died Monday, Feb. 10, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Dec. 8, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Claude Edward and Nell Seabaugh Morse. He and Helen Layton were married Aug. 24, 1945, in New Jersey.
Morse was a pipefitter with Local 664. He was a member of LaCroix United Methodist Church, and VFW Post 3838. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a retired Naval Reserve officer.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Morse of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sandy Underwood Burton of Paducah, Ky.; his mother, Nell Keller of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Barbara Staples of Kirkwood, and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Ron Watts will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
