SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Claude D. Meadows of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. John Hoover will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
Meadows, 88 years old, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1990, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
He was born May 15, 1902, in Gainesboro, Tenn., son of Edward and Tennie Gipson Meadows. He married the former Stella Donoho Oct. 16, 1924.
Meadows was a retired farmer, and member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, E.C. Meadows of Lafayette, Tenn., Jim Meadows of Sikeston; a daughter, Emogene Darby of Dearborn, Mich.; a half brother, Donald Meadows of Carthage, Tenn.; a half sister, Fannie Ray of Carthage; seven grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie; a grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
