PUXICO -- Claude D. Johnston, 82, of Puxico, died Monday, Nov. 20, 1995, at Dexter Nursing Center in Dexter.
He was born July 3, 1913, in Victoria, La., son of William Jones and Ora Idel Bates Johnston. He and Pauline Faries were married Jan. 16, 1934, in Puxico.
Johnston moved to the Mingo area in 1923 and to Puxico in 1982. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul Johnston of Dexter, Donald Johnston of Sparks, Nev.; a brother, William Johnston of Front Royal, Va.; two sisters, Beulah Hartz of Puxico, Marie Martineau of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marshall Link officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
