JACKSON -- Clarence Speck, 81, of Jackson, died Wednesday, March 4, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 20, 1910, near Anna, Ill., son of Crawford and Ethel Kirby Speck. He and Agnes Hartline were married June 27, 1936.

Speck was a retired supervisor at International Shoe Co. here, and attended the Methodist church. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Speck of Dexter; two brothers, Everett Speck of Anna, Robert Speck of Champaign, Ill.; six sisters, Jane Pechman, Mary Strandt and Jerry Druen of Sun City, Ariz., Betty Mears, Martha Elliott and Frances Pittman of Champaign.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Anna. The Rev. Phil Poe will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
