CLARENCE MIESNER

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- W. Clarence Miesner, 82, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 21, 1918, son of Fredrick C. and Christina Schlichting Miesner. He and Sylvia H. Thurm were married Sept. 11, 1948. She died Dec. 21, 1988.

Miesner was a former machine operator in manufacturing. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

Survivors include two brothers, Leo Miesner and Leonard Miesner, both of St. Louis; and a sister, Esther Koenig of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Altenburg, Mo., from 5-8 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until the service on Friday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mathew Marks will officiate, with burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Wittenberg, Mo.
