BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Clarence McRoy of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Dean Phillips will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery near here.
McRoy, 68 years old, died Sunday, April 7, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born April 13, 1922, at Bloomfield, son of Sam and Lou Wood McRoy. He and the former Wanda Gaines were married Aug. 28, 1944.
McRoy was a custodian at Bloomfield Schools 18 years, and was affiliated with Bible Tabernacle Church here. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard McRoy of Dexter; a daughter, Teresa Burns of Bloomfield; a sister, Maudie Teets of Elgin, Ill., and three grandchildren.
