PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Clarence M. Reiss of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. The Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. A parish and KC wake service will be held at 6, and an American Legion service at 6:15.
Reiss, 86, died Monday, Dec. 18, 1995, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 28, 1909, at Sereno, son of August and Elbertine May Reiss. He and Linda Marie Prevallet were married Nov. 25, 1936.
Reiss was a member of American Legion Post 0133, past president of the Holy Name Society, and a Third Degree Knight of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Elvis Reiss of Perryville; two sisters, Pat Gagnepain of St. Louis and Anna Marie Sweany of Florida.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
