CLARENCE JOKERST

STE. GENEVIEVE -- Funeral mass for Clarence "Shim" Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. today at Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. John Johnson will officiate, with burial in Valle Spring Cemetery.

Stanton-Wood Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Jokerst, 80, died Wednesday, March 15, 1995, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home.

He was born March 3, 1915, in Ste. Genevieve, son of George L. and Frances Huck Jokerst. He and Audrey LaRose were married Nov. 8, 1949.

Jokerst was a retired mine worker with Mississippi Lime Co. He was a member of Church of Ste. Genevieve and American Legion Post 150.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rebecca Kies of Cape Girardeau; a son, Craig Jokerst of Bloomsdale; three brothers, Oswald Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve, Harold and Tom Jokerst, and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two children.
