Funeral service for Clarence Harold Schilling of Missouri Veterans Home will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Walter Fehrmann will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to service time.
Schilling, 75, died Tuesday, March 29, 1994, at the veterans home.
He was born July 21, 1918, at Frohna, son of Frederick and Bertha Wunderlich Schilling. He and Lillie Schattauer were married Dec. 28, 1951, in Murphysboro, Ill.
Schilling was superintendent at Trail of Tears State Park from 1957-67, and was a park ranger with Corps of Engineers at Lake Carlyle in Carlyle, Ill., from 1967 until retiring in 1979.
He lived in Jackson 10 years, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and life member of Disabled American Veterans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife of Jackson; two daughters, Betty Schilling of Cape Girardeau, Connie Koenegstein of Salem, Ill.; three brothers, Ruben Schilling of Arnold, Raymond Schilling of Uniontown, Senno Schilling of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Lorna Dreyer of Cape Girardeau, Dorsey Petzoldt of Altenburg, and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
