Clarence Henry Ervin, 65, of Clarkton, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1996, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
He was born Dec. 5, 1930, in Mississippi County, son of Jamie and Louise Bennett Irvin. He and Ruth Marie Nelson were married Jan. 22, 1952.
Ervin lived in St. Louis several years and was a cab driver at Lambert Airport.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Harry Chapman Jr. with the U.S. Army in Fort Hood, Texas; four daughters, Janice Ervin of Austin, Texas, Debra Menser of Waxahachie, Texas, Nancy McCampbell of Ottawa, Kan., Mary Chapman of St. Louis; two sisters, Louise Patterson of New Madrid, Alvina Turner of Cape Girardeau, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
There is no visitation or service.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
