CHAFFEE -- Clarence E. "Bud" Pennington, 85, of Chaffee, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999.
He was born March 13, 1914, in Rombauer, son of William T. Pennington and Leona Hoffman Pennington.
He married Bernice Scott on May 14, 1940, in St. Louis. She survives.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee; a member of St. Marks Masonic Lodge of Cape Girardeau, member of SEMO Arc Ham Operators Club and a member of Elks Lodge 1810 of Chaffee. He was an industrial electrician for 12 years at a railroad terminal at St. Louis. He also worked five years at McDonnell Aircraft and 10 years at Noranda Aluminum at Marston before retiring.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Pennington of Lexington, Okla., Richard "Butch" Pennington of Kirkwood, and Michael Pennington of Chaffee; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau at l:30 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be held at 7:30 tonight.
