SCOTT CITY -- Clarence Elmer Dunger, 72, of Taylor, Mich., died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at the home of a son in Taylor.
He was born July 30, 1924, son of William H. and Manda Peetz Dunger. He and Doris Wacker were married May 24, 1947.
Dunger lived and worked in Detroit and Ypsilanti, Mich., most of his life. He was a graduate of Fornfelt High School, and had been a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Dunger of Taylor; two brothers, William Dunger of Springfield, Charles Dunger of St. Louis; three sisters, Ida Marie Dunger of Scott City, Shirley Schroeder and Dorothy Drury of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Taylor. Burial will be in a Taylor cemetery.
