EAST PRAIRIE - East Prairie resident Clarence "Dick" Anderson Jr., 72, of Route 1, died Sunday, March 1, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 17, 1919 in Mississippi County to Vern Baker Anderson, who survives of East Prairie, and the late Clarence Kirb Anderson Sr.

Anderson lived his entire life in Mississippi County, where he was employed in farming until his retirement in 1971. He was a member of the Gravel Ridge Baptist Church of rural Mississippi County and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

On Aug. 24, 1946, he married Juanita Douglas. She survives of the home.

Also surviving are brothers Charles Anderson of East Prairie and Bill Anderson of Charleston; and sisters Betty Walker of Charleston and Frances Lingle and Jerry Ann Barnes, both of East Prairie.

Two sisters preceded him in death.

A funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Revs. George White, pastor of First Baptist Church of East Prairie, and Ted Wimberly, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will be at Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
