Clarence Elbert Barker, 91, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Fe. 7, 2024, at his home.

He was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Cody, Wyoming, to Clyde and Susa Hurley Barker.

Clarence proudly served in both the U.S. Army and Air Force in intelligence for 27 years, including combat duty in Korea and Vietnam.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Moynihan, and her husband, Joseph Moynihan of Cape Girardeau; son, Mark, and his wife, Jennifer Barker of Falls Church, Virginia; grandchildren, Jay Moynihan, Andrew Moynihan, Scott Moynihan, Sarah Barker and Emily McDonald; and great-grandchildren James Moynihan, Brooks Moynihan, Finn Moynihan and Ella Moynihan.

Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Anne-Marie Robert Barker.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

Memorial donations may be given to Feeding America.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Crain Funeral Home.
