PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Clara J. Stuebner, 99, of Perryville died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Perry Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Perryville.
She was born Nov. 20, 1912, in Yount, Mo., to Joseph H. and Rosella Sutton Caruthers. She married Otto R. Stuebner on March 28, 1943. He preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1974.
Mrs. Stuebner was a sales clerk for Stuebner and Bergman Hardware Store, then a waitress at Park-Et for 40 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Perryville.
Survivors include four step-grandchildren, John Moore of St. Louis, Mary McClain of Columbus, N.M., Stuart Baker and Paul Baker of Laguna Beach, Calif.; four nieces, Wilma Rasnick of Branson, Mo., Clara Very of Belchertown, Mass., Eileen Kiepe and Donna Chapman, both of Farmington, Mo.; four great-stepgrandchildren and six great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two step daughters, Rosalind Moore and Lucille Baker; three brothers, Leslie, Fred and Truston Caruthers; and two sisters, Stella Lewis and Mabel Manson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Bruce Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association or your own choice.
