MORLEY -- Clara E. May, 97, of Morley, died Thursday, May 23, 1996, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born April 20, 1899, at Brownwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Thomas Carlton. She married Jasper Creal May, who died March 15, 1968.
May had been head cook at Morley Schools and also a cook at various restaurants in Southeast Missouri.
Survivors include five sons, George May of Hot Springs, Ark., Charlie May of Madison, Wis., Don May of Dexter, Jerry May of Morley, Tom May of Van Buren; a daughter, Ellen Demko of Oriental, N.C.; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, three sisters and a brother.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Old Morley Cemetery, with the Rev. Dennis Cebulak officiating.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran is in charge of arrangements.
